Episode 3 - A lot of works!

1. KNITTING SECTION:

This is a 2 years size.
I used Drops Baby Alpaca Silk for the main color in a really light dusty rose (col. 1306) and Drops Fabel in a variegated color in between purple, blue, ocre, off White (col. 904).
 
The pattern is already published on ravelry at this page.
 
It was so fast to knit and I really enjoy the process of creation!
It is versatile, you can use it both for girl or boy and you can decide if make the rounded bottom or not!
 
 This was the first version of it, it's a 12 month size and I used Drops Baby Alpaca Silk in Off White for the main color and Light Grey for the contrasting color.
 
  • Embroidered Baby Blanket
no pattern for now, maybe I will write some guide for doing a blanket or a free pattern on ravelry, stay tuned!
 
                       
 
I'm soooo pleased whit this blanket! I have just a photo of the embroidery, for now, because a few inches down I embroidered her name but it is a secret for all my family and friends!!
When she borns I will put more photos and details!
 
I love this little doggy with flowers!!

  • Baby Dress

For this dress I'm using Drops Merino Extra Fine in green.
This is 6 month size. Just one sleeve left than I can write the pattern and send it to the test knitters!

There will be sizes from 6 month to 10 years.
 
It is a really quick project because the yarn is worked with 4mm Needles.
 

2. SEWING SECTION:

  • Baby Shirt and trousers
 
 
I adapted a Burda Sectembre 2013 I had at home. The shirt is mod. 146 and the trousers are mod. 144. For the shirt was required cotton and for the trousers some light denim. I want to make the 68 cm size which is some like 6 month, and I need some fabric that keeps hot. I had some red fleece in my stash, so I thought was perfect!
 

 
I made some ballons applique in the front of the shirt!
Then I started sewing all pieces a required from the models instructions.
And... VOILA'!

I modified the closure of the shirt, and I put some pressure buttons!
(I'm not so good to follow directions...!)
 
However I am pretty satisfied for how they turn out!!!

I embroidered this set for my Godson Leonardo. This year he will stars the maternal school!
It was an unexpected quick project!

TUTORIAL CUCITO: UN PORTATABACCO!

Eccomi con il primo tutorial sul cucito! Anche non sono una fumatrice ho pensato di realizzare questo tutorial in seguito alla richiesta del mio compagno di riceverne uno per tenere in ordine il tabacco e gli accessori che servono per fumare... Dopo un po' di ricerche sono approdata su un pin (su pinterest) che faceva al caso mio. Per cui ho salvato la fotografia che vi ripropongo con le varie misure. Da queste misure di partenza ho fatto qualche piccola modifica... Misure originali: Le diciture sono in tedesco (che io non capisco), per cui ho fatto ad occhio... Ecco il mio cartamodello: Qui vi è l'insieme delle parti del cartamodello e le misure vi vengono mostrate meglio singolarmente qui di seguito. FOCUS sul cappello MORBIDO INVERNO HAT

In questo post vi voglio parlare del mio ultimo modello di cappello appena pubblicato su Ravelry. Si tratta del Morbido Inverno Hat e lo potete trovare  qui . Questo cappello è stato realizzato utilizzando due filati insieme di spessore diverso. Uno è la Merino Extra Fine della Drops (DK) e l'altro è la Kid Silk della Drops (lace). Sono due filati molto accessibili come prezzo e li potete trovare per esempio da  Di Lana e D'altre Storie . Il cappello è lavorato bottom up, cioè partendo dal bordo sulla fronte fino alla sommità del capo. Il bordo è realizzato con coste 1:1 e il corpo del cappello segue un grafico a trecce. Per chi non amasse leggere il grafico vi è anche la spiegazione scritta.  Per adornare il berretto vedrei bene, un bel pom pom di finto pelo oppure un' etichetta di finta pelle con su scritto "handmade" ad esempio! E' disponibile in italiano e in inglese, ma a breve lo troverete anche in polacco grazie ad una nuova amic...

INVERNO ALPINO

Ieri ho finito di scrivere il pattern del maglione Inverno Alpino ! E' in due lingue: italiano ed inglese! Potete trovarlo  qui  su Ravelry!Lo trovate in 4 taglie: S, M, L, XL. Alcune foto: Il maglione mi era stato richiesto da un uomo che ama molto le Alpi e siccome a me piace molto lo stile fair isle ho deciso di unire le 2 cose. Ho utilizzato la lana Karisma della Drops Garnstudio in tre colorazioni: verde oliva, beige chiaro e marrone\beige;con questa lana mi trovo bene a lavorare questo tipo di maglioni! Ed è superwash! (anche se poi io la lavo a mano!)Adoro questo tipo di lavorazione in tondo senza dover poi assemblare i pezzi cucendoli. E poi mi piace molto anche ideare i disegni che poi vengono riprodotti nella lavorazione. A breve potrete trovare il maglione stesso come acquisto nel mio negozio "MyriWoolAndCo" su Etsy!
