EPISODE 2 - Test-knitting my own pattern!

1.KNITTING SECTION:

The pullover is knit top-down. It has a rounded back at the bottom which you can choose if make it or not.
Short rows technique is used for the rounded bottom.
I used Garnstudio Drops Baby Alpaca Silk in 1101 White and 8108 Light Grey colours. It is a fingering weight.
The pattern is written for 6m (12m, 18m, 2y, 4y, 6y, 8y,10y) and it is shown in 12m size.

For the test-knit I used Garnstudio Drops Baby Alpaca Silk in 1306 for the main colour and the Garnstudio Drops Fabel in 904 for the stripes.
This time I'm doing the 2 years size. I'm so happy because I think that is going to be beautiful!!!

too many other projects are distracting me!!!

  • Embroydered Baby Blanket

I have just knitted the blanket for now, using Garnstudio Drops Karisma Off White, knitting a seed stitch border and stockinette stitch.
Now I'll start the embroydered part! I choose some colours for make a doggy girl with my baby girl name at the bottom.

I made them using some fabric scraps!
I machine embroydered them with funny sentence and cute pictures!!
The closures are by metal pussoirs for made it easy to put on babies.

3. A BIT OF ME:

 
Hi everyones!
Nothing exciting happened this past week.
We went to the doctor which confirmed that our baby is a girl.
Finally I can personalize some accessorioes for her!! I did with my bibs, but I covered her name in the photos because it will be a surprise!!
Nothing more happened, just me trying to finish my many wips!!

TUTORIAL CUCITO: UN PORTATABACCO!

Eccomi con il primo tutorial sul cucito! Anche non sono una fumatrice ho pensato di realizzare questo tutorial in seguito alla richiesta del mio compagno di riceverne uno per tenere in ordine il tabacco e gli accessori che servono per fumare... CRIS' HAT

Qualche giorno fa ho trascorso un pomeriggio bello e produttivo con una mia cara amica. L'ho aiutata nel suo primo "incontro" con i ferri circolari e con il METODO CONTINENTAL. Con questo Metodo la mano destra controlla il ferro destro per lavorare il filo e quella sinistra sorregge il lavoro e il filo. Si ha il vantaggio di non avere un carico eccessivo sulle spalle, sul collo e sulla schiena e il vantaggio di essere più veloci nella lavorazione. Per questo Metodo sono molto indicati e ferri circolari o i ferri a 2 punte. A few days ago I spended a beautiful and productive afternoon with a dear friend of mine. I helped in her first "meeting" with circular needles and CONTINENTAL METHOD. With this Method the right hand control the right needle for pick the yarn and left hand support the work and the yarn. 3 CAPPELLINI! (Seconda Parte)

Ecco il secondo cappellino! Questa volta per un maschietto di circa 10 anni! L'ho realizzato in questo modo: LANA: Drops Karisma Grigio chiaro Drops Karisma Grigio scuro. Ferri circolari 4mm da 40cm Marcapunti Ho avviato 80 m con il grigio scuro, unito in tondo e messo un marcapunto all'inizio del giro. Ho lavorato a coste 2dir/2rov per circa 5 cm. Ho proseguito con il grigio chiaro e a maglia rasata (tutto dir) fino a che il lavoro misura circa 16 cm. Proseguendo sempre a maglia rasata ho cominciato a diminuire (2insdir = 2 m lavorate insieme a dir) ogni 10 m: cioè ho lavorato la nona e la decima insieme e così via fino alla fine del giro. Poi ho proseguito lavorando l'ottava e la nona m insieme fino alla fine del giro e sono andata avanti in questo modo scalando ogni volta le maglie fino a quando mi sono ritrovata con poche m sul ferro.
